The Exorcism of Romina

My friend Romina was 17 years old when something strange happened to her. One afternoon she went to the forest, and it was already late when she returned home. At first, she felt normal, but later her stomach began to hurt. She couldn’t walk well, she couldn’t eat, and the light bothered her eyes. Day after day, she felt weaker. Her aunt and grandmother were very worried, so they took her to Cuenca to see a shaman. The shaman asked her to dress in white. Then he used a guinea pig to do a “limpia.” Romina had two sessions, but in the process strange things happened: the car broke down, a tire exploded, and she felt fear and sadness because she wasn’t herself. After the two sessions, she began to feel better. Four months later, she was finally free from the spirit. From that day on, Romina learned to pray and to value her faith.

Members: Romina Cuevas, Amelia Vega and Brandon Santillan

Last Halloween, Yinail, Andy, and I accepted a challenge from our university group. The challenge was to visit an old abandoned house at night. People were saying that the house was haunted and that it's a really disgusting place because it's dirty, so we felt nervous but also excited. We decided to go together, with flashlights in our hands, trying to be brave.

When we arrived, the house looked big and very quiet. The windows were broken, and the door made a terrible noise when we pushed it open. Inside, it was cold, dark, and full of dust. Every step made the floor creak. We climbed the stairs carefully, and when we reached the second floor, we found old photos, letters, and objects from the people who once lived there. It felt strange, almost like they had just left the house and never came back.

Suddenly, we heard noises from upstairs. First, it was just a soft sound, but then it grew louder and louder. At the same time, we heard whispers—long, cold whispers that made us stop breathing. Our hearts were beating and beating so fast. Andy whispered, “Did you hear that?” and Yinail grabbed my arm.

Even though we were scared, we decided to investigate. Step by step, we went up to the top floor.

When we were 15 years old, It was winter and we liked to walk in Metropolitan Park to go hiking with our pets for health. A Saturday afternoon, we wanted to go further and explore a part of the park that we had never seen before. At first we talked, laughed and felt excited for the trip.We lost track of time and watched as the sky turned dark so we couldn't see well. Suddenly we heard footsteps behind us and we held the dogs leashes and we started walking faster because the park was so quiet, we felt frightened. 15 minutes later after running non-stop, we became tired and decided to sit down to catch our breath. Our faces felt hot, the cold air hit us, the trees were swaying, the ground was damp, and our pants got wet when we sat down. We started talking about what we heard, and one of us said she had seen it. It was a shadow, it was very dark and tall. We screamed, and our dogs barked loudly. While we were screaming, this dark figure approached. Then we saw his face and laughed, it was just the park guard.
Names: Camila Berrazueta, Jessica Llumiquinga, Jacqueline Veloso

Integrantes: Jesus Pillapa, Bryan Castillo. We often listened to stories about the park in my city. People said that small goblins were living inside every tree. It was summer, and many families were walking in the park at night. Some people were laughing, others were talking, but suddenly the air became totally silent. At that moment, someone said he saw little figures moving around the trees. The goblins were walking and walking, as if they were looking for shiny coins on the ground. Some people screamed and ran away, saying they didn’t see anything unusual. But others swore they saw the goblins clearly, although their faces looked nervous, as if they were lying. My cousin and I were sitting on a bench, and we could only hear strange whispers in the dark. But we dind’t see anything. The same Bryan in his park town, he didn't see any goblin.

At the beginning, it was exciting, we were hiking, taking photos of the tall trees, and sharing snacks while resting on the rocks. The air was fresh, and we laughed as we explored small caves along the path. Later, as we walked deeper into the forest, the atmosphere changed. The path grew darker, the shadows looked frightening, and the wind made a strange, whispering sound. Suddenly, heavy clouds appeared, and it started raining. We felt tired, worried, and even terrified. Then, out of nowhere, a loud crash echoed behind us. Everyone screamed, thinking it was something dangerous. A moment later, we saw it was only a tree falling. We felt relieved, but that scary Friday adventure is something I will never forget.

At first, I thought it was my mom or dad but when I opened it, there was nobody there. I felt confused and a little scared. Then, while I was closing the door, I heard the knock again, this time even louder. I was terrified, but also curious. Slowly, I opened the door one more time… and again, no one was outside. The street was empty and very quiet. I decided to wait by the window, and after a few seconds I saw something strange: My neighbor's dog was jumping against my door, playing with a ball. I felt relieved but also a little embarrassed because I was so afraid of a dog’s game, then my neighbor called her dog back and she apologized to me for that scary situation.

Names: Chiguano Andrea, Egas Stephany and Vargas Estefanny.

Mountain trip

It was a Friday afternoon when our class went on a trip to the mountains.

Names: Valeria Acurio, Aylen Tobar and Jhoel Leon

She lived in a small village surrounded by mountains and rivers. Everyone knew her because she had very long, shiny black hair that almost touched her waist. One evening, while she was walking back from the market, she suddenly felt a strange presence. She turned around and, in the shadows, she saw a little elf hiding behind a wall.

At first, she thought it was just her imagination. But the next day, while she was washing clothes by the river, the elf appeared again, standing on a rock and staring at her. Later, she even saw him near the church and outside her window at night.

She became nervous and walked faster every time, but the elf always followed her. Finally, one night, she looked into the mirror in her room and the elf was standing right behind her, smiling. She felt frightened when she saw him smiling.
