- Lead into new Math unit… I’m actually thinking of using this as an introduction to tougher double-digit addition and subtraction problems that we will be tackling soon. I think it would be great to stop at the part of the story where she decides to do a “magnificent thing”, give them a brain-bender problem to solve, come back to the story and see what she does when she gets frustrated, etc. I think it would be cool to work through a math problem as she is working through her problem | 
- Multi-step word problem that we revisit throughout the story 
- Clear success criteria for the solution (and the social-emotional skills) before giving the problem 
- Self-assessment afterwards for how you met the success criteria, including their attitude throughout
