         <description><![CDATA[<div>Her&nbsp;surgeon recommended that she have a single mastectomy at the very least.&nbsp; She opted for a double mastectomy plus reconstruction for peace of mind. I think she did the right thing regarding what she read.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This surgery was to place a <a href="https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/patient-education/your-implanted-port">port</a> under her right clavicle whose catheter goes into a large vein near her heart. Using a port makes it easier to administer intravenous medications, fluids, etc. over long periods of time, thus avoiding too many needle sticks and IV's.</div>]]></description>
