I also walk around during reading and ask them questions about what they like to read, or what they are interested in. I have invited them to come and talk to me about anything and everything that they would like for me to know. This will advance justice by helping me understand what my students go through which will help me to advocate for them and their needs better. I also plan on doing daily exit tickets and asking student what they are confused on to ensure their understanding of the lesson.
