I was the camera operator and decided on where the camera angles should be. Henry was the interviewer and Biagio was the interviewee. Charlie helped me decide on the best camera angless as well. We found finding a location quite difficult as most places where either taken or really loud. We noticed this most when it came to editting as the background noises disturbed the questions as well as when Biagio was giving the answers. To resolve this issue, next time we would film in a much quiter room. We also agreed that we should have done more camera angles because we wouldnt want our audience to be bored when watching it. However, we did do a couple but there was quite a lot of blank space in the back ground. We could have fixed this issue by either zooming in or placing the camera in a different angle. Next time i'd like to look into lighting as well as edditing the video so that the back ground could be blurry or the lighting could either be brighter or dimmer depending on the mood or type of interview, for example on news channels prisoners faces arent usually shown and its usually a camera positioned over their shoulder in a dark lighting to fit in with the mood amd the atmosphere their trying to create. However, as this was my first time as a camera operator i found it quite fun and easy. I also began looking at over local facilities organisations such as Nottinghamshire. Through watching the videos shown on similar websites i noticed how they made it suitable for all disabilities such as sign language people shown in the corner as well as subtitles. We both decided to research one each by phoning up the centres and finding out information such as the activities the offer and what time/days they are. The one issue we had was that most information we needed wasnt on the website and the people we phoned gave the bare minimum. This meant we would have to find other ways of finding out. After this we then went into the motion room where we learnt how to use lighting and change the aperture on a camera. We then went into groups of 5 and took videos in a bright outside lighting, a dark lighting and we also took a video where the the persons face was blacked out but the background was still there. For next lesson, i would like to learn how to overlap video clips for instance having a video with text. This has allowed me to find out from someone with special needs the interests they have. When i go to film our advert as a group this will help me as i know what specific questions to ask as well boosting my confidence to ask questions in a professional way. 

After this, we was then given a video clip with no sound and was told to make our own music on an app called garage band which was really fun and helpful as we was able to experiment with different and various sounds and choose the sounds that fit best with the advert. After this we was given a short script to read and record to put over top off the music to look and sound like a professional advert. To do this, i was given a microphone with a small mic and recorded it somewhere quitely. The first thing we did was looking into the location of the place we wanted to film our advert. To do this, Jemima phoned them up and got the conformation that it was okay to film there. Once we had done this we began looking thinking about our idea concept and how we would like to film such as the style of video. We then started thinking about the narrative and the questions we would ask the people who attend the club as well as the introduction we would give to the advert. Next lesson, we hope to finish our narrative so we are prepared and know exactly what we will be doing on he day. We will also book equipment out for this saturday as we hope to be filming that day. To do this i used premier pro and added text other the top of what each shutter speed and exposure was as well as muting it so there was no noise. 

I then also edited the footage where we used the B-Roll. To do this i used premier pro again and imported both the footage of Biagio talking, the voice tape and the footage of the activites shown that he talks about. I found this really fun as i found when it all came together it looked and sounded really professional. I learnt the skills of unlinking the sound and audio and how to use the razor tool to cut a clip. To make it look even more professional i decided to use the gragae band app to add a suttle sound to the background. As i wanted the speaker to be heard the most i turned the volume up on his audio and lowered it on the backgrond music. 

Once completeing this i then went onto editing the footage of the interview we did with both Henry and Biagio talking about a topic of our choice. When filming this we used two shots of both Henry asking the questions and then another of Biagio answering. We also filmed more but we found that the angles we used couldnt really have been used as they wouldnt have fitted in and looked right in the video. When editing the two pieces of footage i found it really easy but noticed that it would have been easier to have used a clapper board cos i found myself having to guess where the beginning of the video was because there was a lot of out takes and interuptions. 

In total i found today lesson really beneficial as my skills with editing and becoming more familar with premier pro have definietly improved as im a lot more confident with what the tools are. I took the responsibility of doing the roles and responsibilities sheet where i wrote in detail about all of our specific jobs. Biagio did the production schedule and Jemima did the equipment booking sheet. Myself and Jemima also did interview questions to ask our participants and lastly we did the location and talent release forms. 

I found todays lesson quite productive however a few arguments did occur as myself and Jemima couldnt come to an agreement on a lot of things. To resolve this issue we split down the job roles and put other jobs towards it that we where happy with and this made it a lot asier to agree on the jobs we would do.

I began typing up the script where i also mentioned the camera angles we used. Biagio completed the shot scipt. Once these pieces of paperwork was completed we uploaded it to one driver where we keep all of our paperwork to be shared. 

Lastly, i completed the meeting minutes which i then uploaded to one drive.

Next lesson we hope to complete the story board, risk assesment as well as the location sheet and project proposal. Once i had done this using the shapes I then saved and imported it onto premier pro. Once I had done this, I found a video of Biagio talking about the o-zone like an interview I then used that as my video. After this, I overlapped my title onto the video and learnt how to make it move in and out of the video smoothly and quick. 

This will help me with futue work as i can add a title to any sort of video and make it look professional as well as less boring.

As we wasnt working on the mac computers we wasnt able to do the work we wanted such as begin editting and syncing the audio with the visuals. Next time we will hopefully be on the macs and we can begin editting our footage. 

I found todays lesson quite boring as there wasnt much we could really do because we did need the macs as all our work is on there. Myself and Biagio decided to record our monologue for introduction of the advert. We decided to do this in a quite room for best results of a clear voice. The only problems we came across was understanding how to use the recorder but we shortly figured it our ourselves when practicing a few times. Once we was happy with our recordings we sent them to Jemima to add in later editting. After this, we decided to listen to the song we had created and wasnt pleased with it as we believed it wouldnt fit in with the style of our advert. Due to this we wasn't able to carry on with our editing which means we will be coming in on one of our days off to complete it if we dont finish before the deadline. 

As we we didnt have the macs, we decided to begin our evaulations as part of task 5. This was quite productive as it is something that needed to be done and has allowed for us to now focus on getting the editting sorted. I haven't finished mine yet but will continue to do so at home and will upload to showbie when completed.

As we will be coming in on the 6th we will continue our editting and will hopefully work together to finish our advert. As i have finished my assigned tasks i have decided to help Jemima who is our editor with editting such as helping her sync audio if she needs it to help save time when it comes to meeting the deadline.

We where taken into a lecture room where my class, level 2 and the other level 3 media classes was. 

The other class each took it in turns to represent their advert infront of everyone and would then be given feedback from my class and the other class. I'm very glad we was given the opportunity to do this as i was able to recognise some of the key errors made in certain groups videos such as the audio being out of time with the visuals.

The only bit i need to add is the feedback which will be completed when our advert is exported and put onto survey monkey which will be done on monday. 

We decided to wait till the end of our lesson to use the macs. The only bit we needed to do was add subtitles and credits at the end of our advert. We came across the problem of premier pro not putting our subtitles in with our advert due to an unknown advert. Becuse of this, i had to do it the long way by adding titles as subtitles. This was extremely time consuming but was very easy and i was able to grasp onto how to do it very quickly. Becuse we couldnt do this during our actual lesson, myself and Biagio have decided to come in tomorrow amd complete the subtitles and credits. However, we can not export it tomorrow as Jemima wont be there to have her opinion on it. The only way we will be able to gather feedback is through asking pupils within the college to watch it from the mac we was working on. Hopefully we will have enough feedback to use for our task 5.
