In addition, Dr. Gabriel Gonzales-Portillo practices as a staff neurosurgeon at BayCare Medical Group, where he focuses on minimally invasive surgical approaches for spinal and cerebral conditions. Prior to his current roles, Dr. Gonzales-Portillo taught as an assistant professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He balanced his schedule with positions as chief of cerebrovascular and skull base surgery at the college, as well as the chief of neurological surgery at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson. Board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Gabriel Gonzales-Portillo holds an MD from the National University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru.
