In the popular science article it states many facts and observations that have occurred in the last couple of years. It states that the current change in sea level is a rise of 3.4mm/year. It also goes on to say that 2016 was the hottest year ever recorded and that the artic sea ice extent is 1.3million sq kim less in 2017 than it was through out 1981-2010.
