Imagination has a lot to do with the real world. It shapes the manner in which we see our existence, and accordingly, influences our desires and expectations, our activities and conduct(Sasson, 2013). In the story, we can read about how both Ivan had been succumbing to his imaginations, morphing good scenarios into bad situations, feeling the emotions he would have if he were really in that situation, as if he was already living his life. He has already increased his standards, building up as he imagines scenarios.
