These Witches Don't Burn is a Young Adult/Fantasy Fiction novel, by Isabel Sterling. It tells the story in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts of a teenage witch dealing with the normal drama of high school (like her ex dating someone new, figuring out which college she should attend, dating someone new), but also with the drama of a rival coven that may be coming to town to kill her and the rest of her family/coven.
If you are interested in the supernatural, LGBTQ characters, on your edge suspense of "What is going to possibly happen next?!" and mystery, this is the book for you. The main characters are relatable even though half of them have supernatural capabilities. This is the first book in the saga--it sets the reader up for a modern-day battle between supernatural forces.

Can't Hurt Me is an autobiography that details the traumatic childhood and transformations Goggins went through to succeed and conquer his fears and weaknesses.

It is to be noted that more than two-thirds of this book is a series guide, and I'll be explicitly talking about the novella throughout this post.
Unlocked is a middle grade / fantasy novella (and series guide) that immediately continues after the cliff-hanger in book 8. Without spoiling the entire series (which is such a struggle), Unlocked features a stubborn teenage elf named Keefe Sencen who had manifested powers beyond anyone's expectations. His newfound abilities were abnormal to the elven world, and throughout this short story, it would be a constant struggle for control for him. Meanwhile, his close friend Sophie Foster was planning an attack against the antagonists of this series named the Neverseen. After fierce plotting and scheming, she and her friends pulled out their daring plan, but little did they know that they would be getting a lot more than they asked for.
For this series, anybody that adores forming connections to diverse characters and experiencing an exhilarating plot would be a perfect match. This series opens up an entire new realm of possibilities and wonders to behold. With new sights, sounds, sensations and life, the reader will constantly be marveled at the intricate storyline, and witness relationships to root for until the end of time.
For this book, anyone who wants to feel heartbroken and sorry for the characters can go ahead and read it (can anyone find my shattered heart?) People who read this book should be able to feel empathy to the characters and their situations, and should be able to avoid the urge to hunt down the author for ENDING WITH ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER!!!

Book Scavenger is a mystery novel that talks about a girl named Emily Crane, who was moving to San Francisco. San Francisco was the place that the creator of her favorite game lived. The game is called Book Scavenger, which is an online community where people hide books and give puzzles with clues about the place where the book was hidden. Because this place was where the creator, Mr. Griswold lived, he put out his own games with difficult puzzles for the people living there to compete against each other to win a valuable prize. Emily had been wanting to do this for a long time and she was delighted to hear the news that they were moving to San Francisco.
The day that the new game was suppose to be announced, Mr. Griswold didn't show up and the game wasn't announced. He had been attacked at the BART station and was in a coma, which stopped him from being able to announce the game to the people of San Francisco. Emily and her friend, James go on an adventure to the BART station, where they find a book that eventually leads them to a valuable prize. The book was one of the clues that Mr. Griswold left for the new game. Emily and James had to rush to solve the puzzles that were provided in the book because Mr. Griswold's attackers were coming after them to get the game back.
I would recommend this book to anyone that loves reading mystery books and solving riddles and puzzles. This book had made me want to read more and more about what happened next, which allowed me to enjoy this book even more.

What To Say Next by Julie Buxbaum

The book What To Say Next by Julie Buxbaum is a realistic fiction, slight romance and young adult book. This book talks about two juniors in high school, one girl named Kit Lowell and a boy named David Drucker. David is an outcast in their high school, he sits alone at lunch, wears headphones and rarely speaks. However he is extremely intelligent. Unfortunately he has Asperger's causing him to be the outcast. However I don’t think many people know other than his family and music teacher(who is his social interaction coach). Kit is one of the popular girl’s in the school. She sits with her two other friends, hangs out with other popular students and is intelligent as well. She is one of the kinder popular kids in their grade which is why David likes her the best out of all the girls. Unfortunately a tragedy happens and Kits world is turned upside down. She doesn’t want to talk with her friends which leads her to Davids’ lonely lunch table. Over time they become good friends, they go through many ups and down although in the end they solve the problem and become friends again.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes realistic fiction books with some romance in it. I also love this book because it takes you through the story from two different perspectives which is Kit’s and David’s perspective. However there is some inappropriate language in this book so I would not recommend this book for people who do not enjoy reading books with inappropriate language. Although if you don’t mind it then I would totally recommend reading this book!

This book is a fantasy adventure. This story starts a long time ago in the fairy tale world where a dragon was cursed by a fairy to guarded a princess in a tower forever. For many lifetimes the dragon was there and the princess, who haven't aged, was still there. One day the dragon was out theorizing the local kingdom when she was broodily impaled by the pitchfork of a scarecrow and died. The only person who was around to see it happen was the farmer, William Pickett. When he saw the dragon dead he told his sister who sent him to get the princess while she figured out what to do with the dragon. Soon will became a hero of the kingdom and even in line to become the next king. But there is a secret twist Vilnian who was behind the thing the whole time.
This story is great for teens and people who enjoy fairy tales and fantasy novels. You really get to see in this story character development and building up a really good story. This book even if you don't like the genre that much it is a great story and can keep anybody reading. The author (who is a good friend of my Dad's) did a great job of always keeping you enridged and makes you never want to put the book down.

The Memory Keeper is a "slice of life", feel good, mystery, and educational. The story is about a girl named Lulu Carter and she has HSAM which means that she could remember everything she's ever experienced. Lulu never shared this secret with anyone, not even her best friend. Not everyone at school appreciates a extraordinary memory. Her Gram knows about her secret which means her Gram is the only one who knows the true Lulu. But, one day Gram forgot where she placed the car at the mall... which would later become a series of her Gram forgetting things. Lulu doesn't want to lose her Gram, so she does some research and finds out that trauma can cause amnesia. Which sets Lulu out to find more about Gram, accompanying her are her friends Max and Olivia. When they learn that some things are meant to stay hidden.
There isn't any specific reason why I chose this book, I saw it at "Barnes & Noble" and thought it looked interesting, so I picked the book up. Let's just say I don't regret it one bit.
WEBTOON readers would enjoy this type of book. well there isn't any pictures- sorry, but if you're a "slice of life", "mystery", and "hopeless romantic" kind of person... This book is definitely for you. But, there aren't many details that describe what the characters look like, so keep that in mind if you want to read it. For the hopeless romantic people Lulu and Max are ship-able material. (I SHIP IT, SO DOES GRAM LIKE LITERALLY THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE BOOK! SPOILER [but not a big one really, so don't worry about it]: Gram was like: "so, do you think he's cute" or something and Lulu was quiet and her face was heating up and I was screaming.)

In the beginning I wasn't so sure, but when I finished it I found a new favorite book to add to all of my favorites. I wish there was a part two, but maybe somethings are meant to stay like this book.

The Tiger Rising was written by Kate DiCamillo. It is a wonderful realistic fiction book made for audiences on the younger side. This book is about a boy named Rob who lives with his father, and his mother died of cancer. After his mother died, Rob has kept his "suitcase locked up" inside of him. The suitcase held all of his feelings, and he's never shared any of them ever since. Until one day, a new girl named Sistine goes to his school. Later they both find a tiger locked in a cage in the woods. As they try and find ways to open the cage together, Rob's suitcase starts to slowly open.
I really enjoyed this book. The events were described in such detail, it made you feel like you were in the book. They also used a lot of figurative language, which makes the writing really fun and exciting to read.

The Tower of Nero is written by Rick Riordan and is the fifth and final book in the Trials of Apollo series. The series is in the fantasy genre, and is written mostly around Greek and Roman culture, mythology and history. In the book, the god Apollo has been brought down to Earth as punishment, and is forced to overcome several trials with the help of his friend Meg, a daughter of Demeter, the goddess of Agriculture. Apollo faces Nero, a tyrannical Roman emperor who has reached immortality. Nero has allied himself with Python, a creature mentioned in Greek mythology that Apollo defeated when he was a god. If Apollo succeeds, he can become a god again, but if not, he will die at the hands of his enemies.
The audience that would best enjoy this book would be people who enjoy fantasy and mythology. It can be enjoyed by practically anyone, of any age. The book does a phenomenal job at mixing modern popular culture, mythology, and witty humor. If someone enjoys Harry Potter, and the other Percy Jackson books, I would definitely recommend this book and it's series. Furthermore, I would also recommend the book to anyone who enjoys high-stake action and suspense, which the book has plenty of. Overall, I definitely enjoyed this book, and I am only saddened by the fact that this will be the final book set in the Percy Jackson universe. Nevertheless, I would read this book again, and recommend the series to anyone that I know.

The book Five Feet Apart is written by Rachael Lippincott and is also a movie. This book is about 2 teens who have the same disease called cystic fibrosis which causes their lungs to fill with fluid, making it difficult to breathe. One of the names of the main characters is Stella Grant who is 17 years old and the other is Will Newman who is around 18 years old. As the two teens work through the physical barriers to a relationship, they're also working through emotional barriers, the ones that keep them from enjoying normal teen life and activities. Though, the thing is that they were falling in love with someone who is both completely right and fundamentally wrong for them.
I chose this book because I wanted to try a new topic instead of mystery and I went with romance. My friends watched the movie and told me a description and I was really into it so I chose to read the book instead of the movie. My decision was right and I loved the book, 10/10! The genre of this book is non-fiction and it's all about romance and drama and I would totally recommend it for people who are into lovey-dovey books. This book teaches you that just because you might be different you can still find love. This book is a good romance novel that takes two people that think that they don't have anything in common to them falling in love. So if your into drama and romance, you should try reading this book for sure!

The book I read for this assignment was a adventure fantasy novel called Percy Jackson and the olympians: The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan. In this book Percy gets alerted by Grover that there are 2 half bloods at Westover Hall. Dr. Thorn who turns out to be a manticore finds that out too and tries to kill them. Percy and his friends rescue the two by fighting an epic battle with Zoe and the hunters. Annabeth is kidnapped by the manticore and taken to the place where Atlas set up a trap to get someone else to hold the sky.Artemis is also captured. To rescue Zoe and some other people go on a quest which Percy is not allowed to go. Percy then sneaks out and follows them and at the first attack he joins in on the quest. All of them go through many difficulties but try to get out of them. Little do they know that all of it was a trap setup by the Titan lord Kronos. In the end they save some people while some die. I chose this book because so far iread 2 of the books in the series and I’ve enjoyed them. People who like adventure, action, suspense, greek mythology, and fantasy will enjoy this book. I personally like this book alot. During the time period of this assignment I have read this book for at least 3 times.

Return to the Secret Garden, Holly Webb and Fiction, War, History, and Juvenile. Emmie Hatton is a girl that lives at the Craven Home for Orphaned Children in London. Her only friend is a black kitten that she calls Lucy. The kitten visits her every day until Emmie has to leave the kitten behind because of the war. A little boy tells Emmie that Lucy was probably destroyed/dead. The people think of her as a bad girl when she was just being framed by a boy named Author. They are sent to a mansion called Misselthwaite Manor. Later on Emmie meets a gardener and a little robin who she wishes to be friends with. She discovers a secret garden. In the mansion she meets a boy named Jack and a girl named Mary. Jake's father found Lucy and brought her to the Orphanage. At the end their old home was bombed and they can’t go back.

I chose this book because it looked interesting. Another reason is because I got this book but never bother to read it. The type of people who would like to read this type of book is people interested in secrets and historical books. Yes I did like this book because it was very interesting making me wonder if she would make new friends or if they would survive the war. It was sad for the cat Lucy to be left alone during the war but luckily she survived and was able to get back to Emmie.

Elise Dembowski has struggled all her life with being unpopular. After a summer of trying to make herself cool and an ill fated first day of sophomore year, she tries to take her own life. But she soon realizes she doesn’t want to die. She just wants to be understood. This book follows Elise on her journey of self discovery as she stumbles into a night club and finds new friends, a possible love interest, and a new passion for DJing. Along the way, she deals with problems that are as relatable as having divorced parents and as odd as being impersonated by someone online.
"This Song Will Save Your Life" by Leila Sales is a coming of age realistic fiction. The audience that would enjoy this book the most would be people who are going through a difficult time in life. Throughout this novel, Elise experiences unexplainable feelings and terrifying situations. She feels misunderstood by everyone and alone all the time. Maybe people who know what it's like to also be in a dark place would be able to relate to her and relieve themselves in the knowledge that they're not alone. And maybe Elise's story, although fictitious, will remind people to keep on trying every day, even when it gets hard. I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Thomas and the remaining Gladers escape from solitary confinement and are on the run from Wicked. They find out that they are all immune from the Flare, except Newt. They locate the Right Arm, an organization dedicated to destroying Wicked. Wicked wants to capture Thomas to perform tests on his brain, so they come up with a plan to infiltrate the organization. When they find out the Right Arm had no intentions to save them, only to destroy Wicked they escape to a safe place with the help of the creator of Wicked.

Ten by Gretchen McNeil falls into the horror genre. It's about two best friends, Meg and Minnie, who were invited to an exclusive party which was hosted by one of the popular girls at school. These teenagers were looking forward to this two-day getaway from the outside world at Henry Island more than anything else. But what they didn't expect was the terrifying DVD found inside the house which holds the message of an unknown murderer. From then on, the killer starts targeting people as their next "victim". As the deaths got more violent, the high schoolers slowly lost faith in each other. Meg takes on the challenge of trying to find out the identity of the mysterious killer behind it all, will she succeed?
I recommend this nerve wracking books to everyone really, especially horror fans. Usually, I wouldn't read a book like this, but I ended up loving it! I never got bored of the book, despite the long chapters. Overall, this book gave me a fantastic experience of thrill, suspense, and horror.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End by Jeff Kinney - jason servellon p.4

Diary of a Wimpy kid: The Deep End was written by Jeff Kinney, this book is in the Humor, Comedy, and Realistic Fiction genres. It first starts out when Mrs. Heffley decides that the family should go on a trip. At the time of the idea they were living in Greg's grandmother's basement because their house had gotten damaged. The whole family suggested ideas but no one could agree on a place to travel for vacation. Then the great grandmother, Gammie, asked Mr. Heffley to take Greg's uncle, Uncle Gary's, camper out of her drive way since it had been there for years. Mrs. Heffley found this as an opportunity to use this chance to travel around the country in a camper.
Long story short, it wasn't really a good idea because, first they went to a lake and tried staying the night there but they were trespassing. After that, they then they tried to stay the night at a nice field. Then they were essentially kicked out because it was actually a farmer's farm. Then they saw a field and thought it was empty, but when they woke up it turns out they were on a softball field. Then after that incident they tried camping but got kicked out because they could've caused a forest fire because they shot a flare, and then they ended up staying in a lodge.
That's what I found the most interesting about the story and what I think in my opinion are some of the more important events in the story. I think maybe people who had read the other Diary of a Wimpy Kid books would like these types of realistic fiction, humor, or comedy books.
