We then go through the shapes we’ve done so far in our piece of writing and I read some examples (‘who wants to read their heading?’ Etc.)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Phonics is very much based on retrieval! The start of the lesson recaps the sounds previously learned, then moves onto practise harder to read and spell words which have been taught previously. After the new sound has been taught the children have to apply this sound in lots of different ways.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most lessons start with recap/retrieval of previous learning- especially in maths we look at things from weeks/term before at start of each lesson.<br><br>Vocabulary displayed- referred to throughout week/unit.&nbsp;<br><br>Daily games/brain breaks like ‘Simon Says’ linked to maths (eg show me an acute angle, multiple/factor of 5, perpendicular lines, turn 180 degrees clockwise etc…)<br><br>Quizzes at end of units. <br><br>KWL grids for children in science and topic to show what they already know and what they have learnt.&nbsp;<br><br>Double page spreads on some topics.<br><br>Early morning tasks.<br><br>Homework tasks often link to previous learning.&nbsp;<br><br>Sumdog tasks set to check previous learning throughout term. <br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
