“…when I was finishing my last semester at Delta… the roughest part of my life that I faced. Because I was struggling with [bus] transportation… I was waking up everyday at 4 in the morning [then] struggling to get back home [to Tracy]. I was working… I was doing a full course load as well and on top of that I was struggling to pay for housing so that my mom could take a break [from a spinal injury]. Eventually it became to much and my family got an eviction notice towards the end of the semester. That was very hard for me… I am in a different city. Where else could we go? How would I be able to finish school? I ended up reaching out to resource specialists and they offered me support… to help keep my family afloat.     2) The most impactful moments in my life would have to be when I had 2 major surgeries the same year back in 2017. It showed who was there for me which was ultimately my mom and stepdad.
    3) My biggest struggle that I face well that I have faced for years is feeling like I don’t belong anywhere. This feeling comes from my past traumas. But I do try to improve on that everyday.
    4) This advice can be for everyone including myself. Not being so harsh on ourselves, we were once young kindergarten students who were learning the alphabet. Also staying in the present and not stressing about the past or future helps me stay grounded. 👍🏼
