Who am I?

My name is Claire Dejntshiab Vue. I use the pronouns she/her and some of my main hobbies are drawing, collecting photo cards, and journaling. I've lived in Minnesota my whole life but the two areas I have lived in are Saint Paul Minneapolis and now Blaine. As much as I appreciate and enjoy living in MN I love going on trips, whether it’s on planes, in the car, or trains. Big cities and loud places really spark my interests in traveling. A dream of mines is to visit New York because thats exactly what I like! Lots of lights, many people walking, new scenery, etc.

What I did this summer

This summer I mostly stayed home because I had to take care of my little brother and everybody had work. Aside from that, I went on vacation to Chicago! This by far is my favorite place my family and I have gone on. Big city, lots of people all day and everyday, walking everywhere, the beautiful sights, I loved everything about it. We spent a weekend there and even though it was very chaotic to get to the hotel and sightseeing places, we managed and had the most fun ever!

One thing going well in my life

I wouldn't say there is anything good or bad, I'd say its pretty neutral. School is okay, I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be so that's good. Meeting new people isn't an issue for me only because I prefer to be alone and get my work done then leave but when it's needed I'll go along with it. Something that I hope does go well is my first behind the wheel lesson I'm having on the 20th of this month. I don't have many hours in but the times I've drove were good so I hope I get the green light to go!!!

Friends and family!!!!!

Friends and family is one of the most important things in the world to me. Without them I don't think I would've gotten so far. Coming from a Hmong family, a lot is expected and the pressure is there, but the support I had alongside me kept me going. The friends I made this year really helped me get comfortable and settled since it was my first year here and now it's the second!!

I like all kinds of music and i'm willing to listen to any suggestions. Music is something I really enjoy and it helps me connect with people who have similar music taste as me. Some of my favorite genres are indie pop, rap, and jazz. Also, some artists I currently like right now are Faye Webster, Romee Maye, and beabadoobee.

Strengths, interests, and needs

I would say some of my strengths are being creative when its needed, I think collaborating and working independently are also one even though I'm not much of a talker. Some things I'm interested in are music, clothing, jewelry, and tv shows. I don't have specific needs but it would be nice if everybody has a mutual understanding that we just want to get work done.
