Enviromental Protection by Brandon Pack

I feel very strongly about the way humans take care of the world we live in because it is the reason we are here today. Without every small component that made up this earth, it can change for the worse. Us as humans are very wasteful, and do not pay attention to the reprecussions of affluenza. BUT, more provisions and ideas are coming to the light as scientist discover that we really cant survive living the way we are.
So actions are being taken all over the wrold in order to fix the mess we made. Even though we are not perfect yet, we are taking strides in the right direction everyday.

In this article, the risk of loosing one of earths most diverse habitats. Coral reefs hold the highest amount of biodiversity in the whole ocean. They are homes to thousands of tropical fish, breeding whales, and all different types of coral. When most people are asked how t save them, they either dont know, or think that since its in the ocean it doesnt apply to us. Affluenza. But the thing is, it really does affect us. almost half of the earths coral reefs have died due to acidification, climate change, and sedimentatin. All of which can occur naturually, but with us humans contributuing more and more to the problem, there is only a certain amount of time left. Luckily for us, there are enough peole that have been paing attention in order to try and restore what has been lost, as in autrailia with the Great Barrier Reef.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/the-great-barrier-reef-is-under-siege/2015/03/23/cd478050-bd21-11e4-8668-4e7ba8439ca6_story.html

YellowStone Wolves

When one thinks of wolves usually an image of a vicous packof canines comes to mind. While they are furocious hunters, the wolves of yellowstone park are a keystone species, meaning they play a vital role in the eniroment. In the late 1800s the agricultural business swept through the park, before it was officially a park. In taking alot the land, alot of the wolves prey were killed, so they started to feed on cattle and livestock. of course, as humans, the first thing we did was to start killing them off. by the early 1900s there were only afew packs left. The reason these wolves are so important is because if there are no wolves to hunt the remaining elk, the elk population exploded. in turn, the elk nearly destroyed a whole popuation of trees and grasses due to over grazing and such. Years later, after scientist stated noticing the missing populations, they realized that the wolves had to be there fo the existance of the other species to be present. Now the wolves in yellowstone are thriving again.

http://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/nature/wolfrest.htm
