1) Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing: The novel goes into Mrs. Mallard's inner anguish, emphasising the complexity of human emotions and mental health. Despite increased understanding and support for mental health issues, many people continue to experience feelings of isolation, anxiety, and sadness. Mrs. Mallard's little bit of freedom before her sudden passing highlights the significance of addressing mental health issues and providing assistance to those in need.

2) Gender Roles and Expectations: Despite advances towards gender equality, cultural expectations and stereotypes continue to shape people's lives. The story depicts Mrs. Mallard's initial sorrow after learning of her husband's death, followed by a sense of freedom as she considers life without him. This reflects the complex interaction of personal aspirations and society conventions governing marriage, family, and gender roles. In today's society, arguments about gender equality and women's rights continue to question traditional views of identity and relationships.

3) Marriage and Relationships: Although the dynamics of marriage and relationships have developed throughout time, issues remain in negotiating proximity, communication, and personal fulfilment within partnerships. Mrs. Mallard's confused feelings towards her husband and yearning for independence spark thought about the complexity of modern relationships. Consent, agency, and partnership dynamics are still being debated in today's culture, demonstrating the story's timeless significance.

1) Despite advances in gender equality and social progress, societal pressures and expectations persist, and individuals may still feel trapped in various forms of confinement. Mrs. Mallard may nevertheless battle with the weight of society conventions, family expectations, and cultural customs that restrict her freedom and self-expression. Furthermore, the complications of modern relationships, such as communication failures, work-life balance, and societal expectations, may compound her issues. Without proper assistance or resources, Mrs. Mallard may succumb to society's crushing expectations and limits, resulting in chronic emotional suffering or perhaps personal tragedy.

2) Mrs. Mallard, the main character, may discover more opportunities for personal freedom and fulfilment in today's culture, which places a higher focus on individual autonomy and self-expression. Women have more options for freedom, career progression, and self-discovery today than they did in the late nineteenth century. Mrs. Mallard may have access to support groups, therapy, and tools to help her manage her emotions and affirm her identity. With these advantages, she may be able to overcome society expectations and live authentically and on her own terms.
