Choosing Miami University

I chose to go to Miami University because I didn't know what I wanted to do because I am in exploratory studies, and I know that it is easy to change majors at Miami. I also really knew I would fit in, and the campus was absolutely beautiful.

Taking physical activity and health to possibly do personal training

I honestly still don't know what I want to for sure do. Taking physical activity and health helped me find an interest in personal training, but I may want to start my own business and build my own gym.

Powerlifting club

There is a powerlifting club that I can join next semester to decide whether or not I am very interested in helping others and becoming a physical trainer. I can give other people insight on how to lift.

Getting a job at the rec

I would love to try to get a job next year at the rec and possibly teach yoga or HIIT workouts. I can decide whether or not I am very passionate about personal training and if others look up to me as someone they can go to for advice.

Talking to someone at the career center

I can go for help at the career center and they can tell me what they think would interest me for personal training and what I can major in at Miami to best fit what I want to do.

Getting a personal trainer certification online

There is an online program I can join that won't take super long. It can help me become a certified personal trainer and then be able to do internships with personal trainers.

Possibly major in Nutrition

If I major in nutrition then I can become a personal trainer, but also work with my clients to help them pick the best foods for them. I can help them with what would be most beneficial.

If I can become a personal trainer at my gym at home I can understand how it works and start to get tools to starting my own gym and making it succeed.

Internship at my gym to become a personal trainer

If I can become an intern I can decide whether or not I really enjoy and and if I do, I can move forward with the process of actually being a personal trainer.

Start my own gym

After a couple years of experience, I decide that I want to start a business and it will be my own gym. I will probably make it weightlifting/crossfit.

Bring in people to work with me- managers/shift leaders

Start finding other personal trainer and CrossFit trainers to help build and enhance my gym to the best way possible.

Make my gym known to everyone across the country

Have my employers advertise my gym, email certain clothing brands to get brand deals and possibly some pre workout brands too. Make my gym somewhere where people feel comfortable doing what they want to do, but building their discipline and working hard.
