My nephews give me hope. The oldest is 9, and the youngest is 6 months. All who had (and still have) a parent in מילואים, but they are so happy and always excited to say my dad is a חייל and keeping עם ישראל safe.

Yafa Sakkejha, a Palestinian woman and a volunteer for Toronto Friends of Standing Together, told CBC Radio's Metro Morning that she believes "the real work starts now" in order for healing to begin between the two communities here in Canada.

"We need to do our own truth and reconciliation here as Canadian Palestinians and Jews," she said.

The successful Israeli actress has been announced as the recipient of the prestigious Breakthrough Prize (“the Jewish Nobel”) for 2026, for her significant contribution and her public stance supporting Israel since the October 7th attacks.

After 10 years, activists in Norway won a major court case where fossil fuel companies have to do environmental impact assessment on new oil infrastructure. Based on the ruling, failure of fossil fuel companies to do so is a violation of human rights.
