Border your growing space with alliums (i.e. onions, garlic, leeks, shallots) since these repel insects and pests (but keep them far from beans). Onions & beans can stunt each other’s growth.

Tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplant, asparagus, cabbage, peas, rhubarb,petunias and other members of the nightshade family seem to be the most susceptible to juglone.
