For my Album Review. I chose my favorite band, HAIM, and their second album "Something to Tell You" that released this past summer. I chose this album because it was definitely one of the only albums I listened to for the entire summer, and HAIM is one of those bands that anyone can love. They are able to incorporate so many elements and styles into their work that it becomes universal for all listeners. Their lyrics are also very culturally relevant; anyone can say that they have gone through some sort of heartbreak in their life, so their songs are relateable across the board. The specific elements I analyzed were slowness. repetition, virtuosity, and stubbornness/single note. The songs I chose to apply these elements were "Little of Your Love" and "Night So Long," which seem to be polar opposites on this album.
