In 1825, the first public steam railway was made with the train. When the steam railway train is heated, water turns into an invisible vapor that is called steam. The volume of the water expands as the water turns into steam inside the boiler, creating a high pressure. The steam expansion pushes the pistons that connect the driving wheels that operates the steam railway train. The train can only move on its tracks, not any direction you want.
