This issue is important because global warming does/will have an affect on everyone. Over the past 1,300 years, the climate on Earth has increased, and will continue to do so. Some of the causes for global warming include the "Greenhouse Effect"/gases in the atmosphere, industrial activities, and solar radiance. The "Greenhouse Effect" and environmental gases are caused by gases in the atmosphere trap heat from radiating back towards the sun, causes temperatures to rise. In addition, scientific experts have concluded that that there is at least a 90% chance that human activities have have played a part in global warming within that past fifty years. Also, industrial activities, and human produced greenhouse gases, that affect the climate have raised carbon dioxide levels from 280 to 400 in the past 150 years. Lastly,  solar radiance is believed to play a huge part in global warming and climate change. For example, scientists have reason to believe that the sun has increased temperatures and played a large role in climate change. In fact, studies have shown that a decrease in solar activity is thought to be the reason for the Little Ice Age between 1650-1850, which is when Greenland was cut off by ice from 1410 through the 1720's, and glaciers grew in the Alps. Evidence to back up the reasoning that the sun has played a part in global warming includes that since 1750, the average amount of energy coming from the sun has either increased or stayed the same. Furthermore, solar irradiance would not be able to expand without increasing the emission of greenhouse gases. the effects of global warming include melting glaciers, higher sea levels, a change in crop fertility, animal endangerment, more droughts, stronger hurricanes, and ice free Arctic oceans.
