In the text, "Fun 101 (aka How to Escape Boredom)", the central idea that supports throughout the article is that people have the ability to control their boredom. According to Miller, he states, "Each of us has the ability to make every situation interesting, all we need to do is change the way we look at it.". This shows that people have to ability to control their boredom because it tells us that we can redo what we look at to change up that boredom. In addition, according to Miller, he states, "boring lessons aren't only the fault of your teacher or the subject, they're your fault too.". This shows that people have the ability to control their boredom because he is telling us that we can manage not having boredom just based on the subject, or the teacher. All in all, the central idea reinforces throughout the article that people can manage their boredom.

The central idea that is supported throughout the article is that people should be able to control their boredom. According to the text it states that "When we're bored we blame the world around us, but Eastwood's theory challenges this assumption: Boredom doesn't exist out there; it exists in here-inside your brain. What that means is- hard as it may be to hear- boring lessons aren't only the fault of your teacher or the subject, they're your fault too." This supports the central idea that you should control your boredom and also it's not always the teacher or the subject, it could be you. In addition it states that "Each of us has the ability to make every situation interesting; all we need to do is change the way we look at it, and our attention system-our tractor beam-will do the rest." This is a very good evidence to support the central idea that you should be able to control your boredom and make things fun for yourself. In conclusion, you should be able to control boredom for yourself.

The central idea of the article is people have the ability to control their boredom. According to Miller he says" Each of us has the ability to make every situation interesting; all we need to do is change the way we look at it." This evidence shows that everyone has the ability to change the scenario in their brain just to not get bored in school or work. In addition, Miller says " We live in a society where there is a constant ratcheting-up of the level of entertainment, and boredom is a consequence of that. In this view the harder we try to constantly entertain ourselves, the more bored we're likely to become." This evidence shows that whenever we try harder to make ourselves entertained, we get bored faster. Overall, the central idea of the text is we have the ability to make ourselves not to get bored.

For example as the author stated in the text, "Each pf us has the ability to make every situation interesting" This shows that an individual can control their boredom and convert it into something interesting. In addition, Stromberg states, "fun is not the only to be found in the latest, gadgets, and gizmos; its found inside of us too." This shows that electronics aren't the root of fun, but you are, it all depends on you and how you perceive things.
