         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have never thought to use implicit differentiation when teaching this. I have always taught method #1 &amp; #3. I will include #2 this year.... I would hope my students remember and understand method #3, as this will be the quickest and help them finish the AP exam on time. But if they don't remember the formula they have a backup plan!</div>]]></description>

         <title>I like methods 1 and 3 best, but 2 is good to reinforce implicit differentiation. What I like about 1 is that students are already familiar with switching the x and y for inverses. What I like about 3 is that it is a general rule that students can memorize and use every time.</title>

         <title>I know that my students will benefit from the video before and then giving them the option of the different methods.  This past year I don&#39;t think I explained it very clearly and needed to go back and reteach.  It ended up ok but did take time. </title>
