Getting super -skilled in these measures is goal A. Goal B is to have the chops to explain to surgeons and orthotists why their deep abiding dedication to 30 year old bracing styles is not always the best for our patients. I can SEE it when the brace/shoe combo is tuned properly, but I don't always have the best explanation or research to forward to them. Compared to other practitioners in our area, I recommend more bracing, rather than less.
