As i am an International student studying in Canada, I noticed a very weird thing about what they call beauty in others. As we all know Indian women have won numerous beauty pageants for instance; Susmita Sen as Miss Universe, Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra as Miss World and numerous others. Also Indian cinema, Bollywood is also million dollar business. Indian women have been assigned plethora roles by our society but with all those roles prescribed to them, the most wonderful how one woman manages to perform all her tasks and look good at the same time. 
I am not being racist but Indian are reflected basically as brown colored but there are more of fair skin in north region of India and more of dark skin tone in southern part of India. however the basic standards of Indian women are as follow 
  • They have Long, lustrous, thick, black hair.
  •  Fair skin.
    Yep, you have heard a lot about that. Fairness skins are a rage here, but that`s not true whereas Indian skin tone is a little dusky, close to natural tan
  • Deep, dark eyes.
    Big, deep eyes are considered beautiful and mysterious. Most Indian women naturally have dark pupils.
  • Straight, pointed nose (for both men and women)
  • Thin lips.
    Thin compared to a lot of other cultures which find full lips attractive. The lower lip is supposed to be fuller than the upper one.
  • Women with petite but voluptuous figures are considered more attractive than thin, muscular, broad-shouldered ones.

However, according to a piece by the HINDUSTAN TIMES, several Indian men seem to be moving away from the old preference for homely women, and 80% of them have stated that they find women wearing red lipstick attractive, while a whopping 89% also feel that tattoos do not take away from a woman’s charm.Being north Indian i know how hard it`s to get tattoo because i don`t know why many Indian parents have so much issues with tattoos not specifically for women but also for men.
While, with change in time everything is getting change now Indian parents are allowing there male child as well as female child to do whatever they want to do There is one of the celebrity named VJ Bani and other muscular beauties slammed all B about muscular women not being beautiful and "feminine".

Still there are many social issues women are not really treated well India as there are so many rape cases in India.
Unfortunately it is incredibly common for Indian women to suffer from domestic violence. Acid throwing, child marriage, rape, and sex selective abortion are not uncommon. Some women, and men, face discrimination just because of their skin colour or social background. Yet, they keep walking with courage and dignity, and the way they deal with their daily challenges, combining strength with grace, is remarkable.
