         <description><![CDATA[<div>Both movies are obviously inspired by their book counterparts, but those books are inspired by preexisting pieces of gothic literature. the most obvious works are Carmilla by Sheridan La Fanu, and Mary Shelleys Frankenstein, coincidently both authors are women, which is a big deal for the time period.</div>]]></description>
