His father replied with "you know perfectly well who the Fury is" although he did not. The fact that Bruno didn't know that the Fury was the leader of his country proves that Bruno is innocent and unaware of a lot of the situations that his family encounters.

'Standing there in your uniform as if it makes you something special. Not even caring what it means really. What it stands for' demonstrating how much passion she feels against the commitments and dedication her son has made and in what he believes in. Bruno does not understand anything in which has been spoken about during dinner as he doesn't understand what is going on around him and in his country as well as what work his father is involved in.
It is not just Bruno that is innocent but so is Gretel and their mother as they do not fully understand the job their father/husband is involved in and what is going on outside of their house in the concentration camps, which are the gas chambers, yet they do have knowledge of what is going on during this tragic time.

She snaps and says that they'll be here for the "foreseeable future".  Bruno helps Maria unpack his stuff and asks what she thinks of the move… but she doesn't want to answer. All of a sudden a blonde soldier appears and steps into the room. He stares at Bruno, then nods and leaves. Um… that was weird. Bruno notices a window in the ceiling and looks through it; the chapter ends with a description of what he feels very cold and unsafe".

Another example of innocence would be when Bruno sees a train crammed full of Jewish people going to out-with and why none of them got on the train with him because it was pretty much empty.
Another example would be when Bruno salutes his father raising his hand and saying “Heil Hitler,” just like his father had taught him but because Bruno is so innocent he doesn’t realize that he is saluting the Hitler (The Fury).
