Growing Up

I moved to Bryant, AR right before kindergarten started and attended school in the BSD until I graduated in 2022. I am the second youngest of 7. I have 3 brothers (Matthew, AJ, and Alex) and 3 sisters (Megan, Alyson, and Makinzie). My mom is a kindergarten teacher, so I grew up loving learning and everything education, making me want to become a teacher.

I am in a sorority (Delta Gamma)! I am also a peer mentor for the 360 program for first-generation college students and Pell Grant recipients. I have had an internship with the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association for 3 years now. My favorite thing I've been involved in on campus so far is Student Ambassadors, where I get to give campus tours to prospective students twice a week!

My Future Plans

I was a state and nationally award-winning student journalist when I was in high school, so my goal is to pass along that knowledge. I want to teach high school English, but my ultimate goal is to do that and also teach some kind of journalism class along with it (yearbook, newspaper, etc).
