Every town in Portugal is required to have a square, which is usually near a church, for presentations of their folk dancing. Usually, the participants will wear colorful dresses, sing traditional songs, and perform folk dances that are usually accompanied by instruments such as the guitar, violin, and drums. That music truly brings back memories...
On the other hand, dance, rock, pop, heavy metal, and hip hop music have become some of the most popular music in Portugal.
