In The Life of Pi, Yann Martel illustrates a ship sinking serving to symbolize the failing nature of a teenage boy named Pi's way of life as he consistently submits to fear. Alone in the ocean with a tiger named a Richard Parker, Pi again fears the brutality and unique nature of the tiger. Allowing this fear to puncture his inner self, Pi comes to the realization of the necessity to coexist with Richard Parker. Pi ultimately faces his ultimate trepidation of the violent creature, translating to a mutually successful relationship on which uncovers the prosperity one can achieve as they surpass the fear holding them back.

Strengthen context, including why Pi is present on a sinking ship...

In Charles Dickens' Great Expectations Pip, a blacksmith's apprentice from a small village is taken to the house of a wealthy woman named Miss Havisham who lives there with her adopted daughter Estella.

Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe details the life of a man named Okonkwo who fears weakness and seeing signs of weakness being portrayed in his own clan when a new religion dominates the land. Okonkwo's people always as their polytheistic religion and rules based around that religion, but when people started to exert bizarre action the clan has never experienced before the clan don't know how to react to their actions. Due to the clan's weakness of not exerting actions to stop the missionaries and watching his first son Nwoyo leave Okonkwo's religion in the end Okonkwo committed suicide to end his misery.

"Seeing signs" -- rephrase . "Okwonkwo's people always..." through religion does not read clearly. What bizarre action? Rephrase the final sentence so it reads with a purpose.

In Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart", the syncretism of cultures in Southern Nigeria is rejected by a powerful and masculine tribe leader, Okonkwo. Being the great and powerful Okonkwo, he takes great pride in all he represents, such as his tribe and name, with an urgency to nullify any sign of weakness. Okonkwo is quick to reject all "new" culture and religious customs being introduced by foreign missionaries due to the fact he feels the inconsistency of change is in itself weakness. The change of his son's religious views, described as "betrayl of blood", which was too much for Okonkwo to grip. After questioning the concept of identity, Okonkwo lost all grip.

DO NOT place quotes around novel titles. Rephrase "due to the fact"--wordy, and "is in itself"--wordy. Eloquent use of language facility but your introduction has no PURPOSE.
