He agreed with this theory which was first introduced by Nicolas Copernicus who first thought the earth was not the of everything and died with his idea and it released to the world after his death. He made a very detailed and interesting model showing the earth as the center as well. In his model he had earth in the middle and the closest planets were the moon and mercury. He was the first though to introduce the idea of a heliocentric solar system. He created this crazy idea that the earth was not in the center of the solar system and for that many people disagreed and hated him. He had all of these ideas and could not share them for the fear the church would have him burned at the stake because it was not what they believed and back then no one dared to go against the church.
