He finally learned though that Jack Will his "Friend" actually is not his friend since the principle forced them to be nice with Auggie it makes since that he has been treating him nice but in reality no. I think that Jack Will meant what he said because he wouldn't have said that if August was in the room or if he would of known that it was August in the bleeding scream costume.  If he didn't mean it, I would think he would say that because Julian is like one of the cool kids in the grade so Jack is just trying to impress him.

They were obviesly judging him by what he looks like. I think Jack Will meant what he said because, he said it in a seriouse voice. I think he said those words because the other kids were saying bad things about Auggie, so he wanted to fit in with the other kids.

Auggie learned that Jack Will actually didn't like him that much, since he was making fun of him. In my opinion, I think Jack Will meant what he said about Auggie's appearance because I think he was just following the principle's directions, since he wanted Jack Will to hang out with Auggie in the beginning.

I think that the reason Jack Will said all of those mean things about him being friends with Auggie is because he did not want Julian and his other friends to think that he is weird. In other words, Jack Will just played along with what they were talking about, and said meaningless things without knowing that Auggie was listening. He just wanted to stay cool with Julian. (It was still true that Principal Tushman told him to be Auggie's welcome buddy, but that doesn't mean he really doen't wants to be friends and hang out with him. Why want to complain about having a deformed friend? He heard negative comments about what he looked like and decided to sit next to them to further the understanding of what they were stating. They were saying rude and mean things about Auggie's looks. After hearing some really bad and hurtful things about him , he figured out that Jack Will was saying some of these horrible things, and that made him hurt even more. I think that Jack Will did mean what he said because, if he did not, then why did he say them? A real friend would stick up for who is being made fun of.

He heard that Jack Will said that he was ugly and was going to kill himself. He also pretended to be his friend. Auggie has learned that Jack Will was told to be friends with Auggie by Mr Tushman. He has learned that that Jack Will has said several thins that meant he was ugly. I think Jack Will meant what he said because Jack Will didn't know that Auggie was there so he meant EVERYTHING he said.
