In my opinion this is ground breaking therapy for patients with peripheral artery disease. WHY? I have worked for years as a cath lab RN and seen repeat patients, with this stent we could see a decline in the number of revisits a patient has because of this more effective treatment.

Boston Sicentific has released the first peripheral stent that offers a sustained release of an anti- proliferative drug for one year (Medagadget, 2018). Studies found that patients treated with the Eluvia stent experienced a significantly greater twelve month period with primary patency of 88.5% versus 79.5% patency with the Zilver PTX (Medgadget, 2018). Further studies found that Eluvia was found to be preventing more than 95% of patients from needing re-intervention after one year (Medgadget, 2018). Boston Scientific states that this stent has potential to make an immediate impact on the quality and value of care that physicians can provide to patients now that it has FDA approval (Medgadget, 2018). It was the Cardiovascular Diseases and president, Lankenau Heart Institute at Main Line Health in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, and co-principal investigator of the IMPERIAL trial that led to the FDA approval (Medgadget, 2018).

My top five strengths are achiever, analytical, communication, discipline, and empathy. I have the most talented team to say the least. Alice tends to be the leader within the team, with an extremely strong work ethic. Faith is always pushing us to our limits, and encouraging us to look ahead into the future. Angelica is the one who keeps us all in line, and identifies the factors that may affect certain situations. Andrew is our go getter, and makes things happen to further our success as a team. The final team member Carter is our spokesperson, and plays a vital role in communication when it comes to being the best and fulfilling the success of our product.
