         <description><![CDATA[<div>A sit-in was staged against Warren County, NC regarding a polychlorinated biphenyl landfill. The protests were large in number and caused a lot of backlash from police enforcement. The protest was unsuccessful in terms of stopping construction on the landfill, but the protests are still considered to be the first large step in the fight for environmental justice.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
