Name of Person in Power and Office they Hold: Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi currently claims to hold the position of President, but Houthi rebels have controlled the capital since 2015. He still enforces his presidential power through a temporary capital city in Aden.

The politics of Zimbabwe takes place in a framework of a full presidential republic, whereby the President is the head of state and government as organized by the 2013 Constitution. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament.

1. The first people of the countey were the Bantu-speaking Iron Age farmers that settled in the region around AD 300.
2. It is illegal in Zimbabwe for the police to impound your vehicle on the road. The only occasion when they can do so is when they ask you to produce your driver’s license
3. Zimbabwe only won three medals in the 2004 Olympic Games. All these medals were won by one athlete named Kirsty Coventry
4. Zimbabwe is a landlocked plateau country.
5. The ‘mbira’, which is a small hand-held instrument, has been played for more than 1,000 years in Zimbabwe. This instrument is also commonly referred to as a ‘thumb piano

Federal Democratic Republic

The President is Bidhya Devi Bhandari

The Nepal flag is the only national flag that is not quadrilateral in shape. It is made of two triangles. The triangles are said to represent Hinduism and Buddhism. They also represent the Himalayan Mountains.
The abominable snowman, also known as the yeti, is a legendary apelike creature that is believed to frequent the high valleys of Nepal.
Namaste is the standard greeting in Nepal. It can mean Hello, Good Bye, Thank You but translates to “I salute the God in you.” People put their palms together and then bow their forehead, and say “Namaste."
Nepali time is 45 minutes off of the Coordinated Universal Time. The time in Nepal is based off of Mt Everest, and not the time zone lines.
Hinduism and Buddhism are the two main religions.
Cows are sacred in the Hindu religion and cannot be killed. Once a cow stops providing milk they are often released and the community is responsible for feeding her. Cows roam all over Nepal, even in the busy city of Kathmandu. Many people have water buffalo for milk, manure and meat.
Since cows are sacred, so is their manure. It is common practice to clean the home with water and cow manure, to clean and bless it at the same time.
Nepali is the chief or official language. There are many ethnic groups in Nepal and they speak hundreds of different languages. Not accents, but languages. Sometimes Nepali people can't communicate as they speak different languages.
Nepal has the only living goddess in the world, the Kumari. Kumari means virgin in Nepali and is the tradition of worshiping young pre-pubescent girls as manifestations of the divine female energy in Hindu religious traditions.
About 90% of marriages in Nepal are arranged and the bride and groom will usually not meet or see each other before the wedding day. Although, 'love' marriages (choosing your own partner) are becoming slightly more popular.

Libyan government

Libya has an Transitional Government which is a governmental authority set up to manage a politicaltransition, which generally occurs when new nations are formed or following the collapse of the previous governing administration. 

Progress toward this end was made with the July 2012 elections for a General National Congress. This was a significant event because it was the first free Libyan election in around 60 years. In October, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was appointed to lead an interim government to establish conditions for a new constitution and parliamentary elections.

Although nationalist and Islamist conflicts have greatly threatened political stability, Libya's government is comparable with that of the United States and has executive, legislative and judicial branches. The executive branch is led by the chief of state and President of the General National Congress. The Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and the rest of the cabinet serve under the president.

The legislative branch is made of 200 seats in the General National Congress. These are divided between 120 independent seats elected from 69 constituencies and 80 party list seats elected from 20 constituencies.


Electoral system

Libya uses the majority system for electing a leader. This is a single non-transferable vote (SNTV). Anyone who has been convicted of felony or misdemeanour involving moral turpitude unless rehabilitated is not able to vote in Libya. Anyone Affiliates of official military institutions are not able to vote as well. 

Role of the Libyan Government
Libya was under foreign rule for centuries until it gained independence in 1951. Soon after oil was discovered and earned the country immense wealth. Col Gaddafi seized power in 1969 and ruled for four decades until he was toppled in 2011 following an armed rebellion assisted by Western military intervention. In recent years the country has been a key springboard for migrants heading for Europe. Concerns have also been raised over the rise of Islamist militancy there.
