The reason I will be using prezi for my next assignment is because another professor of mine brought the phrase "death by power point" to my attention, so I want to see what the difference is between PowerPoint and prezi. You can present anywhere through online presentation or you can present offline. There are built in charts, image sources, image editing, and video support. I would recommend this to other educators because students, teachers, principals, and administrators alike can use it for just about anything. There are some good things about it, but also some flaws. There is a lot of useful information on YouTube, but also a lot of inappropriate videos. You never know what could pop up on the "watch next" list. If you gave them a tablet with this application downloaded on it, I assume it would be able to convert your speech to text and vice versa. Speech to text would be useful for students who can not hear very well or just need a tablet for assistance. This would save time and paper because the app would automatically convert your lecture instead of the teacher having to type it out before hand to give to the student. Also, text to speech cold be useful for students who are auditory learners or students who do not see too well. Again, this would save time which results in getting the most out of your instructional time. I would highly recommend this to teachers, principals, and administrators. This could change everything! It does seem kind of expensive, but thankfully, there is a free trial. It costs roughly $2,500 for one program it offers and then $200 for 10,000 credits (1 credit = 1 word). After seeing the pricing and the way they decide how much you pay, I'm not really sure how I feel about it.
