Valentine , the one who started Saint Valentines Day . Valentine was a Christian Bishop Priest. The Romans were an army and their leader did not want others to marry because he wants more soldiers but the men do not want to leave their children and family , that is why the leader made marriage illegal. Valentine noticed the law and saw many of his church attenders upset because they were not allowed to marry. Valentine did not listen to the law and he married people anyway. They attempted to keep it a secret , although one of the soldiers' spies found out about Valentine marrying people behind the law. Valentine was locked up behind cells for a while . A lady brought him his food and they would talk and talk all the time. The lady who was blind and Valentine fell in love  . Valentine touched her eyelid and she yelled " I can see , I can see , I can see! " . On the last day on earth for Valentine was February 14th. Which is also St. Valentines Day. On Valentine's last day on earth he wrote his love a letter and used the signature " from your valentine " . Ever since then , Everyone does the same.
