         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) A belt of converging trade winds and rising air that encircles Earth's lower atmosphere near the Equator.</p><p><br/></p><p>2) Twice a year, during the spring and autumn seasons, the sun passes directly over the Equator. As a result, many equatorial cultures recognize a single wet season.</p><p><br/></p><p>3) It is caused by the circulation patterns of air masses, leading to less rainfall, meaning less water for plant and animal life. </p><p><br/></p><p>4) The mountains block the passage of rain-producing weather systems, casting a "shadow" of dryness behind them. Desert areas are a result of this "shadow"</p><p><br/></p><p>5) As air rises, the pressure decreases. These areas are deserts because of the lack of precipitation caused by the mountain blockages.</p><p><br/></p><p>5- It is colder in mountains because as air rises, the pressure decreases. They are found along the Tropic of Cancer, between 15 and 30 degrees north of the Equator, or along the Tropic of Capricorn, between 15 and 30 degrees south of the Equator. Hot, moist air rises into the atmosphere near the Equator.</p></li><li><p>By definition, a rain shadow is a region of relatively low rainfall that occurs downwind of a mountainside or mountain range facing away from the direction of the wind. The mountains block the passage of rain-producing weather systems, casting a "shadow" of dryness behind them.</p></li><li><p>A lack of precipitation is actually what defines an area as a desert, and there are several factors that can cause this. It stays warm all year.</p><p>3</p><p>The air there goes down instead of up. That makes the land dry. No rain means deserts.</p><p>4</p><p>Mountains stop clouds. Rain falls on one side. The other side is dry. That’s called a rain shadow.</p><p>5</p><p>The higher you go, the colder it gets. The air is thin up high. Thin air is cold. I think dont judge me .</p><p>6</p><p>Soil helps plants grow. Plants give food to animals. Good soil means a healthy place.</p><p>7</p><p>Land heats fast and cools fast. Oceans don’t.
