Population Pyramid

1. My country is in Phase 4 of the Demographic Transition Model.

2. I know this because the lower part of the pyramid is slowly shrinking, while the upper part, from age 35 and above has been increasing rapidly. This indicates lower growth in the country's population. Low Growth indicates Stage 4 of the demographic model, not Stage 1, because there is an abundance of the elderly, and a shortage of the young, not a low measure of both.

3. In regards to population, I fear my country maybe facing several issues, including labor shortage, a lack of young people to work, negative population, and an economic deterioration, caused by lack of laborers in the country, which will in turn result in a negative population. There will be a change in roles, ad adult children will start to have to take care of their old parents.

Immigration/Emigration Question Answers:

1. The current Net Migration rate of Germany is .71 per 1,000 people, which means that although not by ,much, Germany's immigration rate is higher than its emigration rate. More people are moving into the country then there are people moving out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Most of the immigrants to Germany are from these three countries:

1. Turkey

2. Italy

3. Poland

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. There are currently no social issues in Germany due to high rates of immigration. In fact, the country has been titled an Immigration country, and encourages people migrating there. The economy has most definitely benefited from this decision.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Top Seven Countries Germans Migrate To:

      1. Switzerland

      2. Austria

      3. Australia

      4. Russia

      5. United Kingdom

      6. France

      7. Poland

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Many people move to Germany because guest workers, and foreign workers are encouraged in the country. It improves economy, decreases unemployment rate, which is very low at the moment, and is a sort of safe-haven for those who had been staying in some of the other economically deteriorating countries in Europe. The country is also very rich in heritage and culture, and historically fascinating. Many move here for this reason as well as the fact that Germany is a center of Industry and Trade.

They had their highest rate of immigration in 15 years last year, when they accepted almost 1 million new immigrants. The article also talks about the pros and cons of having so many guest workers and whether they have a good opportunity financially wise as immigrants to the country of Germany.
