2. How are we affected by literary texts in various ways? How are we impacted by TTTC?
We are affected by literary texts through emotion. We are impacted by TTTC through emotion too because sometimes you don't want certain things to happen in the book but they do happen afterall.

O'Brien uses a lot of pathos and imagery to make sure his interpretations of war get through
4. How does the structure of style of TTTC affect its meaning?
O'Brien conveys the truth in a way that's not white washed or sugarcoated.

I think that historical context when reading Hughes' poems is very important to both the reception and production. So the reader can gain more of an understanding for the hardships his culture has gone through and also it can educate the recipient about these hardships.
2.To what extent do literary texts offer insight into another culture?
I thought that it didn't go into my stereotypical definition of culture which includes the way of life and food. However, I thought that it demonstrated the traces of anger and hunger for change that is still apart of his culture today.
3.How does the meaning and impact of a literary text change over time?
It's odd and disappointing  to think that the meaning and impact of Hughes' poem  can still be applied to this day. Especially with the BLM movement that has gained more attention from the public today and has brought forth all these problems again with minorities. 

The shifts in perspectives in Beloved allows for Morrison to prevent the danger of a single story. She is able now to demonstrate to the reader the connections and issues that followed after the emancipation of slavery. For example, throughout the book the reader sees Paul D. questions his masculinity and self worth after slavery. This shows that slaves battled coming to terms to be able to express their individuality  without expecting to be suppressed by it. The reader is also able to see how slavery impacted the generation afterwards since Denver had to grow up faster due to her Mother not being able to leave the past.
Time and space:
1.How important is cultural or historical context to the production and reception of a literary text?
Knowledge about the time period slavery existed is crucial for Beloved. However, it's only crucial to understanding Morrison's motif and meanings behind the story. For Beloved, the key to understanding her as a character, is knowing what occurred during this dark time. This would be because Beloved, to some, represents the shadow of slavery and how its story is still present in a variety of ways.

Chronicle of A Death Foretold offers a major insight into not just Columbian culture but the Latinx culture as a whole. For example, as a young latina I realized that a lot of the values embedded into the work such as honor and religion were embedded deeply into my family and such. For example, it made me realized how the Catholic religion has really been with me through my whole life even though I, myself, am not Catholic.
