         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>How Do We Study Natural Hazards and Design Solutions?<br></strong><br>The purpose of this activity is to hear from family and others to help us realize that sometimes other perspectives are needed when thinking of ideas or solutions. <br>As we listen to others, we find out more about what communities need and how solutions must take these needs into consideration. Talk with someone in your family or neighborhood, older than yourself. Tell them you are studying about natural hazards. Ask them to share any stories they may have about natural hazards. Ask them how they remember learning about or preparing for the hazard.
