"My philosophy of education is based on the principle all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential, provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. I can particularly relate to a passion and commitment in recognizing the uniqueness of the individual learner. I firmly believe that in order to create a classroom where pupils have a thirst for knowledge, an inspirational role model has to be in place to guide them. A teacher’s role should be sculpting a learner academically but also socially by providing them with the crucial skills that they will need for today’s society. No matter what kind of socio-economic background a pupil comes from or what difficulties may be present in their lives a teacher has to create a classroom environment that will make the learner feel safe and their opinions valued.


Creating a strong relationship with the pupil’s parents also helps the teacher to understand their pupils on a different level. It is essential to work in cohesion with other members of staff, I believe this to be vital in any school and I will always be ready to give a helping hand.
I just want to add that I'm a solitary learner who likes to use self-study and makes reflections on my work in order to improve.

I had heard you were teacher of the year one year and now I know why. I was honestly a bit intimidated by the course, but with your thorough teaching style, I was able to fully grasp everything you taught. Moreover, I appreciated how you focused on what is relevant and actually important. I really enjoyed all of the readings and found they were diverse and inclusive. I learned a lot.
