Cryptography is a familiar tool used in my field of research. Often we deal with large sets of sensitive data coming in and we collaborate with different organizations to help store and analyze this data for us. We always use encryption keys to decode stored and moved data. We heavily rely on the encryption and decryption keys to help protect and preserve the authenticity of our data when in transit or in storage.
