Our first song The night we met by Lord Huron is Alternative/Indie. The song is about love but the end of a relationship with regret. It was made in 2015 and just matched with our bands vibe not to crazy but just the right energy.

Our second song Mama said by Cat Clyde is Folks song. The was made in 2017 and she wrote it about how she wants to try and keep her life the way it is.

Our forth song Id love to change the world by Ten years after is rock song. It was made 1971, the song is about how messed up the world is now a days and how the confused state of the world is.

Our firth song Hard times by Paramore is a pop rock song. It was made 2017 and is about hard times in life and how you feel.

I came in and went to a practice room by myself and was listening to the songs I had to learn on drums. I was in the practice room for like 2 hours maybe even 3. I would listen to the songs and learn the drum part from ear, I would then practice with the music videos to make sure I was in time with the song.

31^st march

Me and my band came in and went to a practice room. When we got into the practice room we started learning our parts individually, eventually when we all felt confident enough we would practice one song at a time to start getting use to everyone playing at the same time. Ni would come in and make sure we where doing alright and would help us out if we needed it.

7^th April

It was Easter holiday at this time and all I could do was practice at home. I would listen to the songs on repeat to learn my timing for the drums. Me and my band did manage to get a day to come in and practice during the Easter holiday which was great. All we did was work on the songs that needed to be worked on for example hard times needed to be working on because the drums where really challenging for me.

14^th April

At this time I was on holiday so all I done was listen to the songs a lot.

21^st April

This was a bank holiday but I manage to look up how to do the begging part of hard times on tiktok which was really helpful and I then also look up on tiktok for the night we met beat. It was really helpful because tiktok shows people playing the part so you don’t have to imagine what they are hitting you can actually see aswell.

28^th April

Me and my band came in and practiced for hours until my legs and arms where hurting. We decided what order we wanted to play the songs and where talking about that for awhile because we wanted it to sound even and not boring. Ni also came in and listen to us play our songs and he gave me and other people advice to make our parts sound smoother and better.

5^th May

This is when we started getting really serious about the performance and what we wanted to do and say. This day we just kept practicing and practicing until we where feeling better about our parts, we also decided to change our original ending part with a little pause to make it sound better.

12^th May

All me and my band did was practice all day. We came in early and practiced till nearly 5, we where all starting to feel nervous but excited. We where also talking about what we wanted to do that day and we decided to meet at college at 10 then practice a couple of times before our performance, then we would all make our way to the mash house to get sound checked and then go somewhere and chill until we had to head back and perform. After decided all that we then went and got Ni to listen to some songs and he told us little things that could make sound smoother.

Out the box helped me and my band achieve making this gig happen. out the box website shows all the bands that will be playing at Mash house including my band Sunburst, so it gets people to see my band and others and makes the people want to go and watch us. it helped me prepare for the gig and helped me and my band to practice harder so that we would be perfect for the gig.

this website tells you how to prepare your band to have a good rehearsals and gives you good advice to be prepared for gigs.

what it tells you is that you should always learn your songs little by little, you should never rush or it will sound bad. you should always practice independently to know when your parts are. You should also know when to play and when to come in.

when it comes to rehearsals you should always make time to practice with your whole band and work on the parts that doesn't sound the best. Distractions should be kept to a minimum to allow full focus from the band but there should also be breaks to break up rehearsals and give everyone a break for a few minutes.

goals should be made so they can be worked towards (preparing for the gig)

teamwork is important for a lot of reasons like so we can work well toghether, have good communication and so we can just enjoy our time working together and make sure we get everything done.
