We had already touched on how parents and teachers helped children by giving them a starting point but the video touched on the fact that after a time the adult helps less and less until the child knows how to do it themselves. The teacher in the video asked the students what they thought should be done in the assignments, and she asked for clarity on what they thought. She helped them learn to ask those questions for themselves.

The kids in the video we're able to think about consequences and resolutions on their own.

Sometimes even as adults we're starting from a very low ability and knowledge base on how to do something.

In the beginning two boys are reading a short story together and one is helping the other with a certain word. At this age a child's knowledge base is vastly more than what it was a year ago. Kids can help each other with tasks.

One boy was just reading by looking at it from a distance and the other was pointing to each word individually. They were both learning at a slightly different pace but the degree of difference was not vast.

This was another touch of on how we all learn socially in one way or another.
