1. the Christmas star gift reveals Jeanette's strength and appreciation for longing for safety and it has revealed to me that the love of her wrong father.


6. the significant event that occurs in my reading was when Rex was teaching Jeannette how to swim. I think the author was telling us how a dad is showing their kids to learn something without doing it correctly.
