         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Agree with color-blindness harming minority children!  Since race is a social construct, it shouldn't be something we're 'afraid' to talk about. Color-blindness is just acting like the problems of race in this country are just to be ignored and not seen.<br>2. Children should be taught how race is used in this country and why we use it. the history of race needs to be taught because children catch on to how we treat race early on, in this case many saw talking about race as  a negative thing.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Proud of the Chicanx students who protested against the racial inequity in classrooms but also disturbed that these existed in the first place<br>2. A lesson that I learned was to never stop pushing against what you stand for. The Chicanx population didn't give up for their rights in school and they were the start to an acceleration of Ethnic studies all around the country.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. i thought the idea of putting the kids in small groups based off race and then putting them in larger groups was a good way to help with cultural appreciation and having a safe reflection place but I feel like in the long run it would segregate the class more.<br>2. it takes a long time to get results and see how people react to certain implementations </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>I find the work that these two youth are doing to collect stories and promote having those discussions about race in classrooms to be very important but also just pretty cool and fascinating. </li><li>There’s an emphasis on “self-activating before you can show up as an activist for others” which discusses the importance in making sure to educate and familiarize yourself with the stories of others and in racial literacy before you can work in racial justice related activism work. Also story-telling is an effective method to organize people. They also discuss about applying the racial literacy lense to any field/area of interest which I found to be interest. </li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>
