To educate university goers on Sexual assault, rape and consent during (and beyond) "O week" at Australian universities . the initiative utilities an app that is available free to all university students. the app provides a platform for students to self educate on consent and appropriate sexual behavior, it also provides a platform where by victims of sexual assault can locate and communicate with a "Buddy" who can assist them with tasks such as reporting the crime and going to the hospital to have a rape kit performed. Sexual assault is a crime. Sexual assault is not the victim's fault.

Sexual assault can happen to anyone in our community. This includes people who are young or old, male or female, from any cultural background, wealthy or not so wealthy, married or not. Anyone can be a victim of sexual assault.

Most victims of sexual assault know the person who assaulted them, such as a family member or friend or someone from work, school, church or another social group. A person you don't know or have just met can commit sexual assault.

Women and men as victims of sexual assault are treated equally under the Australian law.

If you don't know what to do or where to start open the Party Safe App:
1. on the home screen of the app you will find : links to information on assult, the Australian emergancy services phone number for immideate help from the police or ambulance, a list of helpful counciling services and support networks and the "find a budy button"

The app provides helpful tips for anyone to understand what is appropriate behavior and what is not.

It also provides information on when its appropriate to engage in sexual behavior in relation to how much alcohol both individuals have consumed. 

The app has an alert button that you can press that will send an instant message to the police if you find yourself in a situation where you feel uncomfortable or threatened, the police can respond and this may prevent sexual crimes from occurring, it is discreet and instantaneous.
