It creates tension for the characters because as Buck starts to pull, in the story the characters start to get excited and get tense.<br>Another phrase says, "Men gasped and began to breathe again."<br>This creates excitement because the men gasped at Buck being able to pull the sled of 1000 pounds.</div>]]></description>
