I prefer abstract art. Making mistakes is less frustrating, since you can just incorporate it into the design. Realistic art is good, but it can be frustrating to erase a section.

Although I do enjoy the appeal of abstract art in that it puts an imaginative spin on real-world subjects, which outlines the artist's personality and perspective beautifully, I prefer realistic art because I personally have always enjoyed sightseeing, enjoying beautiful scenery and taking photos to remember those places, and realistic art does a wonderful job of capturing beautiful moments akin to how they are seen in real life, preserving that sight, person or place and any memories associated with it/them forever.

I like realistic styles more. Especially romantic and/or baroque realism. Every time I look at realistic pieces, I get lost in the attention-to-detail the artists put into it. It feels so human and subtly emotional.
