I believe as an atheist that sex has many natural purpose such as pro creation and now in our time with more social constructs it can now be considered a way to pleasure one's self. However if I were a Christian that would be a Yes because God created humans, and in turn their ability to procreate, enjoy life etc.

People also consider sex as a form of consolidation of a relationship. And in a predominantly Christian region. Religions such as Buddhism have entered which care about the well being and importance of trusting and friendship of a marriage. And as long as it is not abusive or mis-use of the senses.
